I am a professional counsellor working in Cheltenham with adults and young adults (18+). In addition to my private practice, I have worked with staff and young adults in a Higher Education setting for over 10 years.

Some of the issues I work with include:
•    Anxiety
•    Depression
•    Bereavement and loss
•    Stress at work
•    Issues around bullying
•    Relationship problems
•    Panic attacks
•    Anger
•    Sexuality
•    Confusion around Identity
•    Family concerns
•    Illness
•    Suicidal feelings
•    Self-esteem and confidence issues
•    Work/life balance
•    Trauma

While this list covers many things, we are all individual and not one person’s story is the same. I believe everyone deserves to be listened to because their story is unique and just as relevant as any other.

but it comes from within. It is there all the time" - Anna Freud

Prior to setting up private practice, I worked at Gloucestershire Counselling Service (GCS) as an Assessor and Counsellor for their Adult, Schools and Employee Welfare Services and have gained a number of years experience of working with individuals presenting with a wide range of difficulties.

I hold a Foundation degree in Psychodynamic Counselling Theory and Practice (awarded by the University of the West of England). I have a Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling Theory and Practice along with a post graduate qualification in Psychodynamic Supervision (both awarded by Westminster Pastoral Foundation, WPF).

As a professional counsellor, I am committed to regular, ongoing training to ensure my own continued professional development.

Accreditation
Following completion of an Accreditation program I became a Registered Member of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). I work within the BPC Code of Ethics and the Ethical Framework for Counselling Professions outlined by the BACP.
